An Experience
I cleared the rubbish bin for the last time. I cleared everything personal on my desk and packed them in my bag. I deleted all my personal data in the computer and I clicked the button to switch the notebook off. I pushed the chair in and walked over the other room. I gave my final thanks and bid farewell to all my colleagues. As I walked passed my room, I took a final peep. I could feel it dropping from my eyes, but I strongly held them back. The moment I stepped out of the office, I let out a huge sigh. I’m just glad that everything is over. But somehow, there's a part of me feeling rather sad about leaving.
Cause afterall, it has been 6 months since I first stepped in there and I am kind of attached to that place. Many memories were created and many bonds were forged. And despite all the sarcasm I received, the harsh comments that were spat on me, the rejection I had to go through, the misery I faced, I can’t deny that I learnt a lot through it. Perhaps not academically, but mentally and physically, I think I gained in that aspect.
The misery I faced, prepared me for cruel but yet the true reality of the working industry. Politics would be everywhere, you just got to make a choice; either get involved or ignore.
The sarcasm that I received, taught me to be more tolerant. Some people are blunt and insensitive, so you choose; to get affected and they will still continue being sarcastic or choose to ignore.
The harsh comments that were spat on me, made me a stronger person. Face it, no matter how good or perfect you are(which is totally impossible), you can’t please everyone, there’s bound to be conflicts and hurtful words will be exchange. You can choose to get personal over it or take those comments and see how you can improve.
The rejections that i had to go through, made me a more determined person. Failure is a step towards success, once a failure doesn’t mean always a failure. You can choose to get upset and not do anything or get upset, get over it and do something to prove to those who put you down.
Each experience whether wonderful or painful, are lessons we can learn from. And my experience though not so pleasant, is something I can learn from. For that, I thank Mindnet International for giving me an experience of a lifetime for the last 6 months. Till then.. Tkc ppl..
