A question

"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart" - Kahlil Gibran

“Tell me if girls like it if they receive attention from guys, tell me if they don’t?” It was such a simple question but yet it caught me by surprise and left me dumbstruck. Simply because I haven’t really given much thought to it. On a serious level, it actually depends on the kind of attention that is given and the person who is giving the attention. Of course, if the attention comes from someone you fancy or someone who is nice or respectable, it can be indeed flattering. But if it’s some stranger or some bummer on the streets who do nothing but ogling at girls and make wolf whistling sounds the moment they see a hot sexy girl on the street then that’s not even in the least flattering but rather disgusting. But as much as how respectable or nice that person is, the kind of attention he gives to the girl is rather important. If it’s those every day kind of smses or insisting in knowing where you are going even though your ties with him are nothing but purely friends, now that’s what I call a turn-off.
But on a more personal level, I certainly do not find any form of attention given flattering. Maybe if I was younger and naïve, I would have indeed find it flattering, but now, rather I find it to be more of an insult because of one reason. Simply because the attention given is for one motive and that is because they are interested in you. Common, don’t tell me guys give attention to every single girl even those they are not interested in? Well, see what I mean. This also brings me to another issue which is; would they be interested if you are not beautiful? Would they be interested if you were big and ugly on the outside? The fact still remains that outlook beauty still comes into play. As sad and cruel it may seem, that's the reality of life. I know cause i've been there. Bottom line, it comes down to one thing, it’s only when they are interested which maybe because of your looks then they start giving you the attention, when they are not, would they even bother?
Well of cause, I am not saying this on behalf of the women kind or stero-typing the male kind but rather, this is only based on what I feel, based on what i went through. Many others may disagree on what I may have said, but seriously I don’t care because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. =)
Till then..Tkc ppl..

p/s: I love this song that is playing rite now a lot. =). Simply because everything about it represents me and the way i feel about everything. Heh.

Mom

“Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.”

Sometimes, I wish I know what to do, what to say to help and make things better. Sometimes I wish I won’t say or do the wrong tings to make things worst. Sometimes I wish they know the reasons behind some of my actions is because I truly care. It just makes me feel so helpless and useless when all I can do is to sit and watch and do nothing about it.

And so it’s Mother’s Day today. I remembered when I was younger; I wrote a little something about a mother (the piece is below). It isn’t exactly a very well written piece but nevertheless I love it because it came sincerely from my heart. With that, this one is out for all mothers in the world, especially my mom. I love you Mum!! =)

Mom,
In my life you are the greatest
You watch me grow
Gave me hope
And shower me with so much love

Mom,
The only one
Who would walk a thousand miles
Cry a thousand buckets
Do anything within her
Just to ensure my safety.

Mom,
Always guiding me throughout my life
Be behind me to catch me when I fall
Be there to embrace me
Giving me a sense of protection and warmth
When everything seem to go wrong

Mom,
A thoughtful person
Who always seem to care
Something is always learnt
When she is there.

Mom,
Someone I love
Someone I appreciate
Someone whom I really care

Mom,
Someone whom I respect
Someone whom i am grateful for
Cause without her
I wouldn't be the person
I am today

Mom
Because you're so special
So on this special day
I wish you
A Happy Mothers Day

I love you lots Mum

Mohammed Danniel

"As you put into practice the qualities of patience, punctuality, sincerity, and solicitude, you will have a better opinion of the world around you" -Grenville Kleiser

He held her hand tightly, leading her to the little corner at the end of the room. He pulled out the chair for her before taking a seat beside her. Occasionally, he peeped over to ensure that everything including her was fine. And when she encountered any issues, without any question, he helped her in whatever ways he could. Only when desperate, that small tiny hand of his was up in the air. The look in his big round eyes, pleading for help with his small squeaky voice was more than enough to make anyone go weak in their knees, well, at least for me. Call it biasness but I ended checking out on him more often than I should. I ended up helping him more that I should.
The school bell rang indicating the end of the lesson. Once again, he took her by his hands and led her to the front of the line. I remembered them saying their goodbyes and headed out of the room hand in hand. And I clearly remembered, a step before he put his foot out of the door; he turned back, smiled, waved and mouthed the word goodbye to me. I will never forget that moment, that smile and that look.
Mohammed Danniel, 7 years old. I never would have thought someone that age would leave a deep impression on me. He sure did. He brought me back to those days when there was nothing to worry about and when the world seems less complicated. And most importantly, he reminded me of a friend, Mohammed Norazman. Pure, sweet, innocent and sincere.. =)

Juz for Ma Mum

"No language can express the power and beauty and heroism of a mother's love." -Edwin Chapin

I have a story. A story to share. A story for all women in the world. A story for all those with mothers, sisters or special women in their lives. It’s a story for all to understand the beauty, strength and power of a woman, especially of a mom.

Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?
"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will, but that's O.K."...

Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say...

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked "God, why do women cry so easily?"

GOD answered......

"When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet, made her arms gentle enough to give comfort…
I gave her the inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times will come even from her own children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going and take care of her family and friends, even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without complaining....

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly....

She has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....

I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly....

For all of this hard work,
I also gave her a tear to shed.
It is hers to use whenever needed and it is her only weakness.... When you see her cry, tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good. She is special!!

Love ur Mother Always and keep her Smiling

I am 4 days late doing this entry because of so many reasons but mainly for the fact I wanted this to be a perfect entry. Because I am dedicating it to one special person I really really love and treasure with all my heart.
She, who have never once left my side ever since I entered in the world. She, who have shed countless number of tears for me. She, who know me more than anyone else in the world. She, who showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. The only one who would go an extra mile to ensure my safety and happiness. She is indeed someone special. So special that I am willing to lay my life for her. She definitely can’t be replaced by any others and I can never find any like her. My Mother, My friend, My buddy, My best friend, My Companion, My Advisor, My Listening Ear, My Everything.
Though many at times, our opinion differ, I know she only wants the best for me. I love her more than anything in this world, because she is my mom, the best mom of all. I pray that may she’ll be blessed with good health and happiness always. Happy Belated Mom!!
